Campy BB ID help pls
Hi all,
just seeking to list this properly. Found on a late 70's/early 80's bike. I assumed it was NR but now I can't tell.
Thanks!

Are the cups thick or thin?
We'll also need to know the total length and what is stamped on the spindle.

Hi,
Cups are thick. 114mm hollow spindle that reads, "Brev Inter Campagnolo 68 SS." Thanks again.

So where the spindle goes through they have the riffling? Then you have a late model (new style) Nuovo Record Bottom bracket. In other words for post CPSC (change-over was 1978) cranks and front derailleurs. Circa 1978-1984. Does the face of the fixed cup have a recess? This is also a feature of the later nuovo BBs.

oddly enough, the rifling is designed to keep water spinning out of the bottom bracket when you are pedaling forward. and again, oddly enough, it works, as long as the bottom bracket is not under water.
