Worst Brooks copy ever?
Not poking fun at the owner, he does mention it's a gift so it's not his fault. More along the lines
of WTH is it. A cheap Chinese copy of a B.73? Never seen anything like it, and it looks like it would cause severe behindular pain in a short amount of time.,,,,BD http://houston.craigslist.org/bik/651229189.html |
Hideous, looks red! You can actually see a drip mark in the light as well.

I picked up one of those a while ago for a couple of bucks. I only had it mounted to a junker bike for a few months, so I can't really say how good or bad it is. But my initial thought was that it would be a bear to break in, but might be somewhat acceptible after that.

does the dye bleed through your pants?

I can only wonder how badly the leather was tanned/processed. There was a similar saddle at my LBS for awhile. (looked better made than this one) It stunk like you wouldn't believe. I wouldn't have wanted to get caught in the rain with it.,,,,BD

Yikes,
No way, just no way, lord knows what kind of roadkill they made that thing from! |
It entirely lacks any elegance.

Can you say "clown bike saddle"?

I am not defending the thing; it is certainly no Brooks. But, based on no real testing of the one I have yet, I suspect it is not as useless as the above posts might suggest.

My backside deserves better.

Maybe it's a Borks?:)

I've seen Brooks look-alikes that were made of: pressed paper !!! imagine that .. |
I've seen those for sale locally and they cost no more than $10. Fifty dollars for that is a joke.

That looks like the red leather saddle that comes on Flying Pigeons from what I can tell in their [F.P.'s] fuzzy photos.
It is hideous! Before the idea of a red saddle was alright, but seeing it closeup is ewwwww. Mainly I am also reminded of the smelly roadkill leather cheaply purchased in certain countries I've visited. That smell never goes away, lol. If it were 10$ as some mention than that is cool with me (aside from some wage and production cost considerations in my mind) because it is too bad that to get a leather saddle now a days you need to pay a bunch. |
I've got a similar saddle that came with my Indian-made bicycle. Only it isn't leather, it's just a fairly hard plastic shell. I don't know that it's worse than the one shown, but not much better, either.
