Fleetwing Mercury II!!
Ok so yesterday i stumbled upon a bike at a garage sale in which i had to have. I looked really old due to the body style, paint etc. so i bought it. It cost me 80 $$. This thing just screams vintage. It has two little headlights that still work!! The little tank b/tween the frame says fleetwing and on the chain guard it says Mercury II. After some re-search i believe it was made by Mercury in 61. I want to know what the actual value of this darn thing really is so i turned to this forum for the answer. Please help me out here... i need a true honest answer if at all possible. Oh and by the way im NOT, i repeat NOT going to sell it haha going 2 be a present for Christmas. I plan on restoring this baby. Please help me out with what the actuall value of this thing really is!! thx
here are some pics of the bike:

Very nice & it looks to be in original condition. Be AWARE, that it is original only once, & restoring it may very well LOWER the value of a bike. Clean, grease, wax, polish, &&& ride.

We have a price guide on our site which shows Fleetingwings and other similar middleweights of that era.

you had replied to my post and ive noticed that on your website i cant find the bike itself. It has 22 inch tires no the 26 inch tires it seems to be a childs size. one question is how would i go about re-upholstering the seat?

P.S.: How did you arrive at the '61 date? There are no Murray serial charts that I know of.
