i caught the bug and need help... ...again
 

well a few weeks back i got my first ever road bike and first C-&-or-V all in one, and i have gotten a lot of great information from this forum and i need you help again.

i came across this and i am looking for background info, and a good price to offer on it. if it is worth anything. yeah its a little beat but could be cleaned up if it is worth the effort

Looks like your basic, universal Japanese bicycle from the 80s, and its BIG! Not really my thang, but $100. to 200.?

Looks like it will need some work. New hoods, brake cables and housings (that front cable housing is kinked). Maybe shift cables and housings, and maybe tires and tubes. Hard to tell without a better inspection.
The price can be affected by the groupset on the bike too. It looks like Suntour AR, but again, hard to tell in this photo.
I would also make sure the seat post and stem are free and not chemically bonded to the inside of the tubes.

If the bike fits you and are willing to put some money into it, I'd offer $50.00 to $80.00 depending on condition.

the standover on it is about 34 inches, so it must be roughly a 60cm i suppose. that is fine for me at 6foot 1. i do not mind doing some work on it, i just want to make sure that it is worth doing work to...

I think the team fuji ranks a bit higher than "basic" UJB, I'm sure one of the Fuji fans will chime in with exact details. My gut feeling is it's bigger than 60cm, it looks like the paint is rough and there *may* be rust and corrosion that *could* make restoration more "challenging", and some of those components may be "downgrades" (like the AR), but not anything that appears to be major crap. If you can really fit the frame and the price is right, I'd definitely go for it cause I think it could be a great ride.
Edit: now that I've done a little research, I think the AR may be OEM and this model is likely a mid-level grade in the Fuji line-up. The Team name was used on varying model-grades over the years, and this might have decent tubing (or merely so-so) and a boring gruppo, or...

It looks like a mid-80s Fuji probably with Valite tubing (might be double butted), it seems to have Dia Compe brakes, Sugino crank, SunTour derailleurs (Machin Shin is right about it being ARX), overall, a good mid-level or better road bike. Check that the stem is not seized in steerer tube. I'd say up to $100 is reasonable if the major components and frame are in good conditon.

You're certain to have scars where that strap-on bottle cage mounts, and the pump mount on top. You have a lot of rust removal to do, and the shifters need to be overhauled and de-rusted. Killer stem, but I can't see the bolt. No doubt you've got to de-rust and repack the BB and go over those hubs, spokes, and rims.

In my limited experience, you'll spend $100 minimum to get her roadworthy, closer to $150. If you've got the needed parts lying around, great, but if not, consider it a hobby with costs you won't recover, and ride it like you stole it, because it's not a steal.

Still, I've bought worse. Just don't bike off more than you can chew....
