Suggestions for bike/build

I have been into riding seriously for a little over a year now. Logging about 150 miles a week on my bike in PA. Recently i have been getting an itch to pick up an older bike to build up or just find an older one in general. Now i'm riding an 2007 Specialized Allez Pro w/ full dura ace. It is a size 62. I'd still like to have the STI type shifting levers. I'd like to be able to ride this with the group rides in my area once or twice a week.

Any input or links to sites would be appreciated. I just need a starting point. I'm sure many have had this same itch as me.

STI shifters with an older bike...hmm.

Perhaps some of our many PA members can give you a hand getting started?

There was a great thread about this not too long ago:

BBM's Palo Alto is, unsurprisingly, gorgeous.

Budget? A nice build up or a nice vintage bike with STI's added?
We gotta start somewhere.

I was looking to spend like 450. I was browsing some of the older bianchi bikes like this one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Bianchi-Speciali...QQcmdZViewItem

My standover is 35inches. I'd like to get STi shifters, and also some stronger brakes than what may have been on the early 80's bikes since i live in the hills of PA with lots of fast downhills. I'd consider getting a frame and putting a new wheelset on it since i weigh about 205 and probably need a stiffer wheels. I dont know if my best bet would be to just find a frame and start with that, or just buy a full bike setup. Any other input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd rather pay a tad more and get a bigger name brand or one that has alot of great history behind it.
