Bikes: lots!!

Jade bicycle

Hello--------several years ago I purchased for my wife a small frameset , whose only identification was the "JADE" transfer on the downtube. It's a gorgeous piece of work, with beautiful detailing. Can anybody enlighten me as to its builder....? Thanx!!

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Hi Nor, perhaps some photos would help us identify your frame?

Welcome to BikeForums, too !

This past week on the Classic Rendezvous site there was a discussion about the whereabouts of a So-Cal builder named Chris Pauley. It was mentioned that he worked with Dave Moulton at one point to which Moulton replied that he did not work with Chris but Chris' ex, a girl named Jade did work for him after Chris and her broke up. Dave said that Jade had real framebuilding skills and that he believed that she was the "driving force" behind Chris Pauleys business.

Could it be that your bike was built by the mysterious "Jade" ?

Pictures please.

I seem to remember a Jade road bike around these parts (SE Michigan)--if memory serves the frame builder is in the area. This was a pretty blinged out full carbon Record bike...definitely not vintage. Anyone else have more details? (You might try the Road sub-forum.)

A google search turned up 200k hits in, oh... about 2 tenths of a second.

They do seem to be located in Michigan.
