Well, after reorientating the pic, the word

look on the bottom bracket.

a sweet ride. it looks to be very nearly perfect, underneath all of those years of dust. Dura ace?

I'm having a problem trying to view your pic but is your Pinarello the CL Orange County listing? Sure looks similar.

douchebagonwhlz 05-11-08 07:59 PM

Not listed anywhere for sale. I want to ride it a little, although it has nearly no brake wear so once down from my house should give it some. It really is perfect, the chainrings and cassette have no wear, shifts great on the stand, tubulars hold 80psi so far.
No one responded to my other thread with the serial number: QQ500. What year is it? anybody.

luker 05-11-08 09:13 PM

no telling from the serial number, that I can discern. The Pinarellos all seem to start in the 80s with a double alpha...mine starts with EE and it is an '85. The catalogs at bulgier.net will help you as will the parts coding.

The Pinarello in Orange County is blue, this one is black.

Is it still available? Looks like a great deal:

There was a black Pinarello item #672918739 on the OC craigslist Thursday for $500. It went fast. I was the second caller and missed it! Just hoping that it went to a BF member.

I gotcha.

Someone should snatch up that blue one if it is still available. I definitely would if I was home.

My Montello that I bought new in 1987 has oo864 for a # stamped on BB and also on the steerer tube.
So if the letters are sequencial I would put yours at 1988ish.

I've sent 3 e-mails, offered to have UPS store ship it via my account, no response....
