Concorde & "Colfako"
 

Hi there!

I'm not a very frequent or active poster but i would like to show you some of my other bikes.
The first one is a Fake "Colnago", it was sold somewhere in the early 80's in Belgium.
It's a good frame and i like it, but it's not nearly as good as a real Colnago.
Sorry for the shock your about to receive, but I build a fixed wheel bike out of it. (don't kill me... :) )
not because of the hype in some countries but just because i like my daily rides clean and simple like they were in the old days. (1920's-30's)

Seatpost is SR Sakae and the seat is an old San Marco Rolls.
Headset is Hatta Hattaswan... i know the bike is a real mix of parts but thats fine by me.

Yes i ride with brakes because i'm not tired of living...
If you have ever ridden in "Leuven" my home town you would know what i'm talking about.
Shimano 600 brakes by the way... without hoods because i couldn't find any "new" ones that fit.
I do like the chrome look of them though.

Mavic CXP22 rim's and too expensive Goldtec hubs, some schwalbe Ultremo's and we are good to go!
not vintage; i know but it was that or some stainless steel rims and a sturmey archer 3 speed.
But i like my bike nice and light so that was a no brainer.

The drivetrain is a mix of dura ace in the back and SR Sakae in the front.
MKS track pedals with clips and straps.

total weight of the bike is somewhere near 8-9kg's (17,6-19,8 pounds?) so not too heavy.
I hope you like it?! I know I do and in the end thats what counts, isn't it?
Next i will be posting my semi-vintage concorde...

Second is my Concorde Carbone HR TVT build bicycle which i bought recently.
It's Carbon Fibre with aluminium lugs.
I don't know much about the bike other than i bought it cheap from an old cyclist down the street from me.
It's probably from the very late 80's or the early 90's. I can't find any info on it so i's just having a wild guess.
If anyone can tell me please let me know!

The bike is build with a Campagnolo Chorus group, but i haven't checked the date yet.

Picture from the alu-lugs that i polished like crazy and the chorus seatpost.
The bike has a San Marco Rolls sadle that i had from an old bike, but it will soon get a newer one.

Last but not least the headtube and lugs, with cable guide and paint nicks.

I still have to change the tyres, which are euhm... well Green??!! :wtf:
Probably some black schwalbe Ultremo's or michelin's.
The rims are Rigida DP18 which i don't like that much but they are laced too some decent campy hubs (chorus or-something-or-other ;) )
and i will replace the stem with a new 3T polished stem instead of the black one.
And the mountainbike pedals are on there because i only have one pair of cycling shoes and i also ride MTB a lot.

Wow... both are awfully nice looking but that Concorde looks amazing. I love the frame color.

Great looking bikes, the concorde is just plain awesome, even though Im not a fan of the color.

Isnt the chain too slack on the "colnago"?

How do you know the Colnago is a fake?

I know it's a fake because the frame doesn't have a single tube or lug in common with a real Colnago from that era.
No Campy parts, no clovers anywhere, no campy rear dropouts,...
And still a bike shop here in belgium was able to sell it as a "Colnago" to it's previous owner.

I have been searching for some months now but i'm still not able to identify the frame.
It has a funny "C" with a heart stamped in de seatstays, a cut out bottom bracket and windowd lugs.
I'll post some pictures when i can find them :)

Cool bikes, especially the "Colnago".

Look at this one (mine).... many similarities but just as many differences.... might be from the same source though (metallic-blue.... metalic-gold). From Moergestel (Tilburg) so quite close to the Belgian border.

colner, perhaps? Show us the chainstay ends when you get a sec...

I can tell you the chorus stuff is somewhere in the late 1990s.
