Trek 420 help
 

Took the Hercules on a Tour de Sales this morning. Walked home an 84 Trek 420 in (I believe) 19" and mostly original except possibly the bar tape, seat, and brake hoods.
This had the Sakae crank, Simplex derailleurs, Maillaird hubs & Weinman rims in 630/27".
A couple of nicks on the top tube are about all the problems I've noted so far, although it needs repacked & lubed.

No pics yet, but there will be some, I'm sure.

So I figure my options are:
1) hold on to it, wait for my kids to grow into it
2) clean & lube it, put new tires on it, and try to sell it locally (I've been able to get a couple people riding to work by putting bikes under them for the cost of tires & parts).
3) trade it for something. I could take it to the Indianapolis swap meet on May 31st. Could be interested in trading up or down for the usual suspects: Raleigh/Dunelt/Hercules etc or something Schwinny & 2 or 3 speeds - brazed or ef.

Any opinions?

Sell it to me at a real good price :D

Like mine a lot. It was incomplete so built up with what was laying around, but a nice do everything bike. Worked great for a century, commuting, exploring. Don't worry; be happy.
