Help me identify this hub?
 

Okay, I've had this wheel sitting around in my garage since the '80s. The hub has no markings except the two little lines in the middle, and what appears to be an aluminum axle. It is very smooth, I understand it to be a cartridge hub? The only maker of these I know is Phil Wood and I don't think it's that, I'm sure there are plenty of others out there. It has a 5 speed Regina freewheel and is laced to a Fiamme tubular rim.

Anyone know who made this, or when? I'd ask how to take it apart, but I guess that belongs in the mechanics section. Is it safe to ride? An aluminum axle weirds me out.

I'm the last person to ask about Phil hubs, but the cartridge bearing at the end fitted with the solid axle spacer matches the design of the Phil hubs I presently have running on my '61 Paramount.

Doesn't look Phil to me. Could be an early Suzue or other Japanese cartridge hub, maybe.

edit: I should add, even more collectible if they have the original skewers (which are beautifully machined).

I unfortunately don't have the QR skewer, or the matching hub, but at least now I know.
