Kinda sick

This guy seems to think his handiwork is worth a ridiculous bit of money, but I will admit it's kind of cool if you can find a derailleur that will handle it. Maybe people have done this before, but I've never seen one. Not sure I'd ride it.

Handywork? All he did was take the fitting that connects a TA chainring to the crankset, grind it down to fit the freewheel, then affix a few extra chainrings to it.

Something tells me that the overhang would likely not go over too well on a 27" wheel or on a wheel built with reasonably narrow-spaced spoke flanges - chances are he was running with a 559mm/26" rim that had some reasonably significant dishing to it.

Yeah and I doubt it's too good for the hub, either.

For that matter, didn't Suntour make a 38t cog back in the day, eliminating the necessity for the construction of this freewheel in the first place?
