Restoring PX-10

I've just found a Px-10 on craigslist. Not certain of the year, but looks very alike a 72 model I saw pictures of. Unfortunately some of the decals are missing (including the Reynolds) so I can't pinpoint the year exactly.

Anyway. The frame is solid, but has been beaten up a lot. I'd love to understand better how I could restore this. New paint and decals seem to be most in need. But this feels like a big deal -- is it?

More pressing, The wheels aren't in great condition and the front one definitely isn't running true. Any suggestions for a place to look for some 27' rims that will suit this bike?

Thanks for your help! Pete.

Hmm. Actually after a little digging around, I think it's a 1974/5 UX-10... 27' x 1 1/4 wheels with schrader valves. Does this sound right? It's almost the same! Does this make finding wheels even harder? Thanks

Those wheels don't sound stock anyway. Check into performancebike.com for new wheels.

Most Craiglist and eBay PX10's aren't PX10's.

How about some pics or the craigslist link?
