Miyata One Ten Age Question
Found an entry level Miyata 12 speed in the trash today. Looks in decent shape. No rear derail or chain. Lots of Shimano components, signature handle bar and cranks, down tube shimano indexed, triple butted chromo, maganese steel fork, sansin close sealed system hubs, araya rims, selle royal seat. Bottom bracket tube has 0E66845 stamped on it. Any ideas on age? Seams to be better components than my Schwinn Traveler.

Nice find. Miyata's entry level bikes are better than most companies' mid-level offerings. From your description it sounds like a mid to late '80s model.

Could be the 1986 model which is the last year for the 110. Have a look here: https://bp2.blogger.com/_whtVpXkKwlQ/...0-h/img111.jpg
If it is then that a really nice bike to find in the trash!

Based on the serial number, it is a 1986 model.

Thanks I think it is an 86. I'm assuming the rear derail was Shimano too. Any idea what specific one was on there? Or what will work if I can't locate? Also, the rims are all black. Is this 27 in aluminum?
