I used three tubes of glue on some sew up rims. Now I'm patient enough to let them cure for two days. I deflated the tire and to my dismay I have starved glue joints.

I am out of continental glue. Is it okay to remove the tires and re-glue with my remaining panaracer cement?

I'm sure someone will disagree with me, but I wouldn't think twice about it. I bet there's little difference in the various glue formulae. You must be risk averse, or ride a lot harder than I do. I've never used more than a tube of glue on a tire and I've never rolled one. And yes, I've been on them for a lot of years. You're saying you left the tire at full pressure for a couple days after gluing up, and it still came off? Did you apply the glue to the tire as well as the rim?

I use mastik one, the conti glue sucks in my opinion.

I use one tube per tire... 1. brush on rim, 2. brush on tire 3. If about 15 minutes has passed since I brushed on the rim and the glue is tacked up nicely I then spread the remaining glue on the rim and put the tire on immediately and straighten and clean up any mess.... Then wait 24 hours and ride it. Should take about 30minutes once you've done it a couple times, I am sure some can do it in less.

You should not have to use more than one tube per tire.

Maybe I will get a can of Mastik. The continental glue still seems soft after a full 24 hours of cure time. I found one internet study that found Mastik to be the strongest after a 24 hour cure time. Continental being second and Panaracer being Third.

The tires did not roll off but I deflated them and gave them the thumb pull test...To my surprise there was many starved joints and the glue still remained flexible...I'm thinking I might have to agree with Cyclotoine and say the continental glue is just not so great.

The Panaracer cement seemed to do a very good job but it was such a sticky mess. I'll give the Mastik a try next. Perhaps I will use acetone and clean the rim and due a complete overhaul of the glue application.
I could also be dealing with greasy rims. They were acquired second hand in trade.

Mastik has 90% holding power after only an hour has lapsed. It cures faster and sets harder.

Well I guess I've wasted several dollars on inferior glue. I'll get the big can of mastik and go to town.

...but on the other hand I like conti glue BECAUSE it sets slower. It gives more room for fudge error when aligning the tub on the rim. I feel that Mastik requires a skilled operator. Another downside is that it is very difficult to remove from a rim, particularly out on the open road.

I've been using 3M Fas-Tack. I've never rolled a tire that was glued on (I did lose one that hadn't been glued to replace a flat, but that was my stupidity). I know there are people who say I shouldn't use it, but it holds well enough for my purposes. A properly inflated tubular tire should be pretty tough to roll, even if not glued.
