Need info this on Tange frame
4 Attachment(s)
Came across two frames recently. Info is apparently very scarce on this frame - I only came across on site with a similar bike: http://www.firstflightbikes.com/Vista.htm. It's a Vista and has a sticker that says "Tange Aero Dynamics Cr-Mo P.G. Tube" and "Aero Course" on top tube. Has Suntour shifters, Araya 700C 1W rims, Shimano Tourney front caliper, and serial number ARYG1713927. Can anyone give me some ifo on this bike and it's value?
Also,I know this isn't a vintage bike, but I came across it at the same place. It has Cannondale stickers on it and a Volvo/Cannondale Racing Team sticker. it also has a Specialized sticker on the head tube. It looks to have been repainted because the serial number is very hard to read, but it's a very good paint job. Those are head Shok forks, but who knows what is all original to this frame. Can anyone identify the maker and model by perhaps the rear of the bike or the style of rear dropouts? |
I've never heard of Vista, but it looks like a quality frame. And I'm not so sure the yellow frame is actually a Cannondale. Granted, I lose track of their lineup after the mid-90s, but I've never seen a Cannondale with dropouts like that. And the stickers definitely don't look stock.

Oh yeah, I definitely don't think it's a Cannondale. One guy at a local shop gave it a quick look and said he didn't know either, just that it's Cr-Mo. I have no clue as to what it is.
So does anyone have anyone have any thoughts on the yellow bike and especially some info on the Vista? |
Neither are any more valuable then the usual price one might ask for such machines in their current state (in pieces) on Craigslist.

Yeas, but I don't see any Vista bike like this(or hardly any Vista bikes for that matter) on Ebay to reference their value - that's why I need some info if anyone has clues to these bikes.

Vista was a NY based marketing company, dealing primarily in entry level models. Most of the bicycles were manufactured by Araya, as was this one. Provided the OP has not made a typo, the big clue here is the decal. Note that it says "Tube" as opposed to the plural "Tubes". This indicates the only the seat tube is CrMo and everything else is hi-tensile. Circa 1981-1984 and not worth much, in my opinion.
