If it's all correct @59climber it is now officially that there was no GL before 1995. The Gold line or mine GL 653 RVS showed the first time up in the officially 1995 Katalog...

Nice frame indeed. Quite special with the blend of 653 and Poppe & Pothoff stainless steel. Probably one of their last attempts to give handmade in Holland steel frames a future, while al and carbon were entering the marketplace.

@dark: I can send you a pair of barend plugs. I got them on ebay a while ago. You have a PM.
The lugs called arrowhead. No clue who made them.

Another fine frame you won't encounter on every corner of the street: An AA.653 Triathlon
I have a mostly DA 7400 groupset ready for it. For braking I go with DA AX. Syncros Altura triathlon stem, Mavic bar, Syncros Ti post are a couple other bits that will make the build complete.

If mine was 2cm bigger and a C record Headset mountable I would built the frame up, but like this...

I would think only the AX brakes would be not period correct ...but the story goes even Lance used them on a 'modernish' ride, so who am I to question the correctness.

I'll throw in mine, though it's not at all complete. I'm slowly accumulating parts; I'm hoping for a suntour superbe pro with barcons build.

a link to the gallery. In there is a photo of the Zeus 2000 fork crown I was asked about a while back. Someone has filed off the top of the seat tube's lug, and there's quite a bit of rust in a few places. I'm pondering reshaping that lug and a repaint, opinions would be more than welcome.

there are some great looking bikes here. can I post my Cornelo here? the frame was brazed in Italy but it was built for a Dutch company. the Model is actually triomphe so I am building it with mostly Triomphe components

Hi No*dice, no I do not know the name of the actual shop, but apparently it was a fairly large on. the bikes were named after the owners son Corne. there are no fancy embellishments on this frame just the fancy 'crimped' tubes

Freek - you're as bad as Marty tempting me with bike gear!
If I didn't just commit to buying Nuovo brakes, levers & campy clips I'd seriously think about it. If the ring doesn't sell and I'm able to thin out my spare parts a bit I'll consider it once the dust settles a bit from my latest projects.

I really need to get my hands on a correct Nuovo/Super Record clamp band so I can put my Gazelle panto'ed levers back into service. My AB-Frame has the panto'ed seat post that Freek found for me and it looks great on that bike with the upgraded groupset with it.
... I won't ask what length that Gazelle stem is.
