Fiamme tubular rims w/rusted eyelets - redeemable?

I'll be cutting away some Campy Record hubs from old (approx 72) Fiamme rims (traces of a red / orange label). The alloy is heavily coated with oxidation and the eyelets are rusted. Is it worth trying an oxalic acid bath? I wont use the rims but maybe they'll be good for the trade thread?

Thanks.

Don't cut the spokes but undo them. The sudden POP from cutting them an damage the rim especially ones this fragile. Actually if you have a buffing wheel don't even bother with the bath, you will be suprised by the results.
