I thought Condor was from England? My understanding is that they made some good bikes and some crappy bikes. Condor on CR.

See, this why you should not stay up all day looking at classic and vintage Euro bikes when you should be asleep so you can work all night.

I guess if the bike was British, it might explain why the guy who has it has a British accent, that he brought with him from England, along with the bike........................:o

There are two different companies named Condor. One Swiss and one British. The Swiss manufacturer is no longer in business. Not sure about the other one. Info on the Swiss Condor is difficult to find. I acquired a 1962 Swiss Condor last year and my thread on C&V didn't receive much activity. Check out the Classic Rendevous site for what little info is available. There is one CR member who owns two or three of them. As for my Condor I hope to restore it in the not too distant future. ( Where the heck is my stimulus check?) :p

I'm thinking it's the British version. He also hasd a Bob Brooks, glorioulsy pink, from the same shop in his home region in England.

I'm guessing the "No News Is Good News" thing applies to the bike. It seems most folks are scratching their head on this one. At least no one is chiming in with negative reviews.

Well, according to a posting on the CR mailing list, "some fat 26 yr old motorcycle guy with tattoos all> over his arms" is possibly selling a stolen green Condor and pink Bob Jackson in Texas on CL right now.

Is this the same seller perhaps?

I'm certainly not offering any opinion on whether or not they're stolen, but I thought that I'd put it there, so you'd know. Feel free to PM me if you want a copy of the original email.

Well, the Condor isn't green, but the Bob Brooks is pink, but that was sort of a signature thing for the time frame.

PM sent, none the less.
