MIELE BINOVA ROAD BIKE? - Is It Worth 200$? GOOD DEAL?
hi there,
possibly buying this bike today from a friend. Is it worth 200$? Is this bike entry level, midrange, etc?? Is it even a Miele Binova? Here's the info provided: Miele 12 speed road bike - full cromoly frame (tange5) - shimano light action shifters - exage deraillers - shimano brakes and levers - Ambrosio rims (700c) - mint shape. 58cm (23") frame with 700c wheels - Brand new back tire (25c) - Suits riders about 5'8 to 6'1 Any help would be most appreciated! cheers http://images.craigslist.org/0115100...eb1a004a30.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/0101010...43dd00cc79.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/0101120...1fc900ce3e.jpg |
Good deal fair price, if it fits buy it. Tange 5 is upper end Ambrosio is solid. I think you will be very happy with this bike

The Binova was an upper entry level, sport/touring model. Tange 5 is a non-buttted tubeset, far from upper end, as previously suggested. Light Action and Exage were entry level indexed equipment. On the plus side, it has decent 700C rims and the Miele frames are typically well made. Value will depend heavily on the condition of the bicycle and your local market. For reference, original price, circa 1986 was $400 CDN.

200$ might be high. Consider that for 200$ it will be much better quality than any new department store bike. I'd offer 150$.

Sorry for the assessment, got my Tange wrong, I agree 150 is reasonable, but its a good looking bike.

I just sold a similar Miele model (Alfa 1989?)/ light action derailleurs/tange 5/Ambrosio rims for $250.00 in Good but not great shape. It sold in a day to the second person to email me and had about 10 others wanting it once it was gone. And it was pink.
