Hey guys... found this Raleigh Super Record the other day at the curb. Pretty sure its from the 70's considering the dropouts, brake levers and all.

i was thinking about fixing it up to make a nice geared bike, or maybe doing a fixed gear conversion. The frame is too large for me though, so I've decided to just sell it for whatever its worth. I need some money to get a new chain and cassette for my Torelli Corsa Strada.

Anyway, what do you guys think I should let it go for? Keep in mind I'm not looking to make a huge profit. Just enough to get some parts.

See the "For Trade" sticky at the top of this forum, and post it there with a specific list of the parts you're looking for. Otherwise, you won't be selling it for "whatever its worth" but whatever someone is willing to pay you for it. That'll vary widely depending on where you live (assuming you're selling it on Craig's List and not eBaying it).

Give it away, it didn't cost you anything after all. It just might be good enough instant karma for you to get a good deal on the parts you want.

It's a 1978 model. The way it sits, you should be able to get $75 pretty easily.

figure out how much you need for parts, then ask that for it.

I put up a listing on craigslist basically saying name your own price and someone offered me $100, so i let it go right away. She wanted to convert it into a fixie, so the bike will certainly get a new life.
