Magic Allegro reappears
 

Vintage Allegro which disappeared from Ebay earlier this week has been located.

Okay, time to explain. A few days ago dbakl was a bit upset that a vintage Allegro on Ebay had vanished. I was the reason for the removal as I had responded to the seller's craigslist ad and made an offer to buy the Allegro, which he accepted. I picked it up today. I never entered a bid on his Ebay listing nor was I aware that any BF members were bidding. The Allegro was never outed on BF or CR. I'm feeling a little bad now because the seller told me he had a mini storm of emails from interested people. I guess this is the first time that my joy at finding a vintage bike has been diminished by regret. My apologies to dbakl and anyone else that lost the opportunity to bid on the Allegro.

So, what'd it go for?

Bidding was up to 125., with the shipping cost is was getting to what I thought the upper end of value given condition, but I'm sure it would've gone higher. That one is very similar in appearence to my stepfather's late 50s one. I can give you a description of components if it helps. I did bid and might have again.

I wasn't upset, just curious... I already have 2 Allegros in the works! Painted and have decals and parts but want to airbrush and pinstripe.
