The count so far !

Just went out to the backyard and realised my bikes were breeding,22 complete and various ones in pieces, How many have YOU got ?

kpug505 06-26-08 10:06 PM

I've got 29.........That's not the problem though. It's the various piles, boxes, stashes at friends houses and my guest bedroom filled with tons of parts that is the issue. Oh ya.........I have a frame at work too.

USAZorro 06-26-08 10:15 PM

9 that are mine
1 is my wife's
2 are my son's
2 that are projects
1 frame for sale

That's 15, and it's as high as it's going to go. I've caught the other disease - self discipline.

purevl 06-26-08 11:16 PM

40

cyclotoine 06-26-08 11:27 PM

7 that are mine
1 that is mine but is for sale
4 that are the girlfriends.

That's it. I keep it in check. Should be only 6 for me but I have an opportunity I couldn't turn down.

retyred 06-26-08 11:57 PM

Geez! How did I accumulate so many bikes? I've got 35 complete bikes and two frames! See ya all later. I'm headed to CL to find #36.

cudak888 06-27-08 12:17 AM

10: VLW's (in collection)
3: VLW's (in the works)
8: 3-speeds (all Raleigh)
1: 3-speed folder (Twenty)
3: 3-speeds (hopeless parts)
1: Ballooner repop
3: Musclebike repops
1: MTB (Mothballed Trek Y3)
11: Vintage frames - intact, some old, some rusty, some excellent
1: Modern frames
2: Vintage frames, wreck repair

Total: 44

That said, if you go down the block to the neighbors, you might notice an abnormal amount of bikes as well (it is catching)!

Next-door neighbor 1:

1: Raleigh DL-1
1: Murray cruiser
1: Trek Navigator 300
1: Specialized HardRock
1: Cignal Trike

Next-door neighbor 2:

1: Trek Navigator 100
1: Trek Navigator 200
1: Trek 800 Sport (90's)
1: Trek 9?0 (90's hybrid)
1: Specialized Expedition (hybrid)

Add the additional 10 bikes for a grand total of 54 bike-related steel and aluminum formations within the range of three houses.

34 - and I don't want any more.

nlerner 06-27-08 05:42 AM

23 complete bikes (more or less), 3 framesets, 4 bikes for my wife, one vintage kids' three-speed, and two kids' single speeds (one vintage, one contemporary). I definitely have enough (though every time I say that, I seem to acquire another!).

East Hill 06-27-08 06:04 AM

I've managed to pare down the herd to ten of my own, plus two which belong to Mr. East Hill.

Plus one waiting for a paint job :) .

-1 commuter
-5 three-speeds (2 Raleigh, 1 Gazelle, 1 Phillips, 1 Chiorda folder)
-2 frame sets

Whatch got for sale? :D I'm looking for another project.

BTW: 16 bikes in my herd. Hopefully I'll be down to 12 this weekend. :)

divineAndbright 06-27-08 06:41 AM

6.. I only really ride 3. The ones which dont see use are a very crappy road bike I use as a winter bike (which I probably wont even use next winter). and 2 very old and very rusty ccm coaster brake bikes sit outside in the yard.

Ugh,I see a yard sale ad for tomorrow, someone is selling 25 bicycles.. must.. resist.. no, im totally there, but will only buy 1 (if there is even anything good!).

I like this thread. I feel completely sane with just five bikes.

mstrpete 06-27-08 01:41 PM

Let's see:
I own 4 (Trek, Fuji, Redline, Schwinn)
Wife owns 2 (Electra, Roadmaster)
Kids' bikes-6
Tandem-1
Day 6 semi-recumbents-2
Huffy garden art bike-1
So, 16 rideable machines. Plus 3 semi-basket case framesets, several spare sets of wheels, a few boxes of parts, and a trailer. BTW, planning to sell the Roadmaster, the Redline, and the Day 6's ASAP. Could be worse.

Little Darwin 06-27-08 01:47 PM

I forgot my Motobecane Grand Sprint... How could I forget my one French bike?

So, 18 bikes on site, 17 are mine

Yeah, me too. Admittedly I have other problems but at least I can say "Phew!" and strike this one off the list. ;)
