HELP! Identify this Nishiki?
so the miyata i was after was sold out from under me. found another bike locally, this orange nishiki. They are asking $250 though i'm not sure what to pay for it.

any idea on the year/model/worth? would this make a good daily?

looks to be in very good shape (although the Fiamme 700C tubular wheels are not stock, an upgrade, but 27" was original size) but $250 is way too much for that Nishiki, IMHO. Keep looking for a better deal (a lighter frame, for example).

That bike has nice bars, nice wheels, nice rear derailleur. Looks to be in very good condition. In this market (Portland, OR) you'd pay $200-250 for that easily. YMMV depending on local market. It's not going to be light, but it'd be a great rider, I'm sure. If you did get it, I'd get rid of the pie plates, swap the saddle, replace the front derailleur with a decent SunTour, and get rid of the suicide levers. That'd run under $50 I'd guess and would style it up a lot.
