Super Sport Deal?

I'm going to see this super sport this afternoon.

https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/bik/756804624.html

It looks nice. Yellow is not my favorite color but it is my size. Is 150 too much? Does any one know the ebay market for these (should I hold out for another color?)

Value will depend on condition and local market demand. The price is OK for this vintage and depending on your fit to the bike and your feel with test ride, you will know if the price is correct or not.

Hard to tell from the pictures, the bar tape appears to be the Cool Lemon, yet the frame color is a little to red/yellow for factory paint on this model. And not the Sunset orange either.

I personally love the cool lemon and if 26" frame, the price would be right and I would drive down to Indy for pick up.

Also, if original the seat should be a Brooks B15. From the picture I can not tell.

I suspect the tape is new and bright enough to mess with the frame color.

I have a 21 (or 22" as they called it) orange frame that I don't quite know what to do with. Am thinking of trying to trade it for something. And am about 40 mi S of Indy. Pity it's the wrong size

Assuming the frame is straight and it's in rideable condition, $150 isn't too much to pay for one of these fillet brazed chromoloy bikes. My first adult bike was an Opaque Blue 1972 Super Sport, and I put many thousands of miles on it. It was stolen out of my garage in 1980.

The picture quality / lighting can skew the colors. Schwinn did provide a Golden Yellow in the late 70s, on the Sportabout IIRC from the reference catalogs.

Attached is a picture of a friends SS with brand new tape, (in daylight provide by another Schwinn SS fan)

There is difference between tape contrast and frame a little more than lighting on the Craig's List page.
