Soma
It looks like there is a soma on ebay that has a relatively low bid. I was wondering if this frame set including everything but the wheels it worth the cash to purhcase.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tab%3DWatching I don't know how good these soma's were so any help within the next hour or so would be greatly appreciated. |
Hi,
. Someone asked me about Soma frames this morning. I don't know much about them but www.americancyclery.com in San Francisco has some kind of arrangment with Soma, which is an American company located in SF and has its frames made to specs in Taiwan apparently. . Have a look at the American Cyclery site's bikes link and then hit Soma. There is a brief description there of Soma and there is a link to Soma's website. . |
somas are fairly popular. However, that auction makes me nervous.

The auction has ended so I can't really see the bike offered, but for the record there were two uses of the name Soma. Originally Soma was a brand of road bike from Kuwahara Company in Japan. See the thread below in appreciation of Apollo bikes by Kuwahara. Later there was an American bike called Soma but I have no good information on what or how good they were. The Japanese Somas were decent lugged steel bikes. tom

Rick, You might want to contact Robbie Tunes. He just acquired an older SOMA from me in a trade.
