They're still in business. I assumed they were in NJ because of the name but they're in Baltimore and Columbia, MD. The family did come from NJ though. So far, all 3 of my good bikes have come over from MD shops. This tiny sticker is on the top tube & on the top of the stem.

From their site :

"Princeton Sports opened its doors in 1936 and in the past 76 years we’ve learned that passion drives our business, which translates into making sure our customers get the maximum amount of fulfillment out of their sports.

Princeton Sports remains a family owned and operated business to this day. Our love of sports dates back three generations to our founders Samuel and Lucille Davis. Their love of cycling led them to open the first Princeton Sports in Baltimore City which rented and repaired bikes for local residents..."

Speaking of furrin shops, here's a sticker (decal, actually) on the nifty little Condor ladies' 3-speed I found at the local co-op, originally sold by Velo Meier in Nussbaumen, Switzerland. Talk about bikes getting around...

Interestingly, there's also another like it on top of the front fender, facing forward.

Wow, I worked at that shop from 1986 until 1989 when it closed up (the branch on Stanford's campus stayed open).

I'm pretty sure the Belmont shore neighborhood is adjacent to the beach where my brother broke his neck body surfing last year. I'm having second thoughts about the old Peugeot I gave him. Should I make him give it back, for his own safety?)

Baker Cycles in Baker, OR, using the highly original Penny-Farthing graphic. This is on my Tempo, which I got from a flipper in Seattle. Can't find anything on the web about them, but their address now hosts Flagstaff Sports.
Here's an earlier version of the Jones Bikes decal on my 1975 Grand Jubile, partly gone but still recognizable. Don

This is a cool thread.

Amherst Cyclery, Buffalo NY

Here's where the Beast (my large, rescue, 70s Le Tour) came from.

This place closed down in the late 1990s, not long after Schwinn went belly up.

The building is now a pizza parlor, and one of my ride goals this year is to take the Le Tour there for some lunch.

I was checking out my '84 Centurion Elite GT today and got to looking at the original shop sticker... After a quick internet search I was very happy to see that they're still going strong! Looks like a huge shop too! Maybe I'll take a bike tour up there one day (I live in Louisiana) and get myself a new shop sticker to place alongside the original!

Perhaps my favorite shop sticker of all time. Yellow Jersey in Madison, WI, with the fist coming out of the crankset. This came from a Sekai Competition with Tange double-butted hi-ten!
