I'm looking at one of these...not in as nice shape as the one in the pic one but not all that bad either. Fits me great and its a nice lugged frame. I did some searching and the consensus seems to be French made boom bike, lower quality. I'm wondering what specifically is lower quality about it? I'm considering upgrading things like the shifters/brakes/wheels...is the frame low quality or something ? I was gonna pay 80 bux...Would I be better off to keep lookin?

To my knowledge, Cazenave was a middle to low grade French bike sold only during the bike boom years, 1971 = or -. Basic steel frame , fork, rims, cottered crankset, CLB or Mafac brakes, simplex derailleurs. It is what it is. $80 would be top price for a bike in good condition. I believe that it is harder to get all those special sized French parts today - pedals, freewheel, cotter pins, bars, stem, etc.
