My Rossin EL-OS. Component suggestions

Just bought this Rossin, built up but never ridden. EL-OS baby I already have an '06 Centaur group that will be going on it. The only thing I will need to buy are bars, quill stem, saddle and seatpost. Trying to decide how to color coordinate it. My wheels are Chorus hubs with black Open Pro rims. So I'm thinking black stem and seatpost (I do have a black American Classic post I could use)? Silver? Should I go with white bar tape and saddle, or black? This frame is kind of an unusual color so I'm having trouble deciding.

all silvers with black Brooks pro and white perf grip like Fizik or Selle.

Very cool looking frame.

That's what I'm thinking. About to buy a silver '04 Chorus post. Not sure if my tail will like a Brooks. Never tried one but they don't look real comfortable. It would look sweet, though.

Silver seatpost, bars and stem, but not white tape. Maybe the natural cork colored Cinelli tape?

If not the Brooks, then perhaps an old Selle Italia Turbo, or Selle San Marco with the copper rivets along the tail.

I think there are at least two things that have gone wrong with bicycles in the last 20 years.

1) threadless headsets.

2) all of the metal pieces turned black.

You should definitely stick with silver components as far as I am concerned.

And I would try red tape and black saddle.

Perfect length, too.

Yeah, I'm going with silver. I agree the blacked out look nowadays is weak. My bars will be black just because I found the perfect ones that happen to be that color (TTT Forma SL), but I will probably go with white tape. Saddle I'm thinking about trying a Selle An-Atomica.

Not that it would change your mind, but I'd put a Black Regal with red tape on it.

On a side note, has anyone tried taking the black anodization off a stem and then polishing it?

Got the frame, looks alot different in person. It's actually a black/lime green fade. Pretty wild. Waiting on the stem (scored the pantographed one on ebay for $80), bars, silver Chorus post and white Fizik tape and a new Centaur crankset. Didn't want to use my old style crank with the square taper bb. Now I just need to decide between a black or white saddle. Here's some pics with the group bolted on and some spare parts (anyone want a mint pearl color Sante brake set?).

Looks cool, very different, but I'd still try red tape on it.

Looking forward to a ride report. I have an older SL Rossin, which I REALLY like.

I don't think red would match, the decals are orange. I'm looking forward to giving a ride report. I wish I had a good scale because this is easily the lightest steel frame I've ever held.

If they are Orange, stick with the White. My Rossin is one of my favorites, climbs like it has a motor, and descends like it's on rails.

Got her on the road. 40 miles yesterday and 50 today. It's everything I hoped, very smooth ride and sprints great. haven't been on any big climbs with it yet. The handling is super fast, the chainstays are real short. Almost seems like I can steer the back end with my legs and butt. When I get my seat post and saddle I'll post some pics. FYI, here's a good deal for a frame on ebay. Too large for me.
