Dutch Schroder?
 

I was just given this bike and was wondering if anyone here knew anything about them. Search reveals just one reference by Tmar of the Dutch making the Schroder and apparently it's from the early 70's.

The owner told me her husband was a bike racer in California in the 70's and gave her the bike. There is a mismash of components on it:
Dropouts are Suntour.
DRs are Campy.
Bar end shifters are Suntour.
Stem and bars are Cinelli.
Brakes are Dia compe.
Crank is Stronglight.
The cable clamps are Campy for the DRs and Huret for the brakes.

That's about all I know about it. I was wondering if those components sound like they are original or is the bike something her husband cobbled together with spare parts? Is the bike worth restoring as an original, or are the parts indeed cobbled and might as well just part it out? THX

I know nothing about the bike but Copenhagen is in Denmark. I'd say it's weird to be a Dutch bike with a Danish city on the badge.

My mistake, T-mar did refer to it as Danish. The owner called it Dutch. Thanks for the info!

Hi McDave,
We may be the only two Schroder owners in the US. I have a blue 58cm, I am the second owner. It was raced in the 70's by Bob Peoples in So. Cal. I used it for a few road races until I bought a Pinarello and then the Schroder became a commute bike with heavier wheels and tires and a Shimano 600 stuff to replace all the Campy stuff I could salvage for the Pinarello frame.
Mine has Reynolds 531 tubing. It's presently on the ceiling of the garage, and it's been there almost 20 years.
I wanted to do some searching about the maker because I want to get it down and let it go to a better home.
I can take some photos if you would like to see it, but the downtube sticker looks the same as yours.
Did you fix yours up?
I thought about making it a fixie, but I waffling on that one.

Picked up a Schroder. P. Schroder Cykelfabrik - Kobenhavn. Frame has no braze ons, 120mm rear spacing. Wheels are 27" Fiamme alloy rims and Atom hubs with bolt-on. 5 speed rear. Cranks were missing. Fiamme alloy bars and stem. Chrome fork. Diacompe brakes. Can't find much of any information on these bikes. Anyone know anything about them?
