Classic style headligh question?
 

So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a classic or vintage style looking head light. This is actually all about style, but still functional. I don't like those separate battery packs, & generator hubs are kind of out of the question, they cost to much.

If anyone knows a Classic style light that would be amazing.

My wife has one on her bike, and it works very well.

Hmm, there are plenty of vintage and new but retro looking dynamo lights. Also very retro function wise.

How much DIY tinkering are you willing to do? You could pretty easily install a drop in LED bulb with a rectifier and and capacitor. If you don't want to run the sidewall generator, you could put a battery pack in a vintage looking water bottle. Some lights might have enough room in the housing to put rechargable batteries inside.

I actually knew there would be one on Velo-Orange but I would always forget to look.

Does that blink or is it just steady, if you could maybe take some other pictures of it that would be nice.

Is the light nicely built or just crapy plastic. and is it bright?



Other Idea would still be nice.

That light is designed to be powered by a dynamo, so no flashing, on when rolling.

However, this nifty little battery-powered light they have is exactly what i was talking about building.

Probably not all that bright though.

I have one of those lights mounted on my Redline R530. Not the brightest thing in the world. I suspect if if were mounted mid fork it would do a better job. I use it more as a be seen light than a seeing where I am going light. FWIW it has a plastic housing.
