if you goto that link, and zoom in, can you identify what kind of components those are? i know it is hard, but some of you vintage lovers out there are quite knowledgeable.

A drive side shot would be nice..........

quanmunist 08-20-08 01:30 AM

not my bike. the seller took a picture of it. i will request drive side pix.

quanmunist 08-20-08 01:32 AM

but is it just me, or does the front caliper look unique?

kpug505 08-20-08 01:40 AM

Hmm........It does look chunky. Maybe it's got a set of dual pivots as an upgrade? They don't look tall enough to me to be Deltas if that's what you're asking. But then again....It's a pretty vague pic. Actually. It looks like there are reflector brackets mounted on it. That would pretty much guarantee they aren't Delta's (If that's what you're getting at).

Looks like a 90's bike. Not sure on the components, but would guess Shimano 105 or similar.

i was hoping they'd be something similar to deltas. the seller is sending me drive side pix today after work. :D

I can almost guarantee that those are 105 cranks, and as the DT shifters and brake levers look Shimano as well, I'd guess the whole bike is 105.

Front brake is definitely a Shimano dual-pivot replacement, probably 105 or RX100.
Neither are Deltas, but Deltas are a pain in the a** anyway. Dual-pivots will make you much happier.

Looks like a solid bike. Go for it! :D

The brakes are probably original, not an upgrade.I did a quick flickr search looks exactly like this bike with full RX100 group.http://flickr.com/photos/pinkrobot/2291213971/

Get the bottom bracket dimensions. A 68mm shell width with 1.37" cups implies Japanese origin. A 70mm shell width with 36mm cups indicates Italian.

I just received an email from the seller. She has 16 people interested in her Bianchi and the price is at $180. Now who said Ebay has no competition?
