Painting tomorrow

I just got the decals for my '71 Raleigh Super Course today from Cyclomondo...they look freakin great. The guys at Cyclomondo even contacted me before the Decals shipped to tell me they had made up a Super Course Top Tube decal which wasn't available on their site and sent those along too I had resigned myself to losing the model name off the Top Tube but now I don't have to

So I finished pulling all the last bits off the frame and its gonna go in tomorrow for paint. I've been thinking this whole time that I'm gonna paint it Cream colored with brown lining on the lugs but I'm having second thoughts after seeing a Cream w/ Red lining that didn't really grab me. Maybe it was the red lining...

Anyhow I'm having last minute second thoughts on the color and I'm thinking that I might go British Racing Green with gold lining on the lugs to match the gold decals I've got....Green was a color that was actually offered that year for Super Courses so in a way it sorta makes more sense....

I dunno, but i'd love some opinions.

I went with Cream. And they are gonna keep the Chrome on the rear triangle and mask off the chrome on the lower ends of the front fork and paint the upper section to match. My color choice did not necessitate a clear coat paint, so I'll decal it up when I get it back next week.

Is there something I should spray over the decals after I apply them or just put em on and thats it? I used to work for a sign shop and did a number of vinyl applications to work vans and we would just wet the surface down and then apply the vinyl and be done.

I've got everything I need to build it back up except handlebars and new tires.
