shimano 3 speed coaster hub HELP!!
Hey there everybody. It's been a long time since I've last posted here, eh? Anyhow, I pose a question onto all of you.
The reason why i'm in this c&v forum is because I'm working on an older 3 speed Open Road bike. I can't seem to find any resources that would guide me in the right direction towards getting it to run well! not to mention, I'm having a hard time finding a pushrod replacement. Sheldon brown seemed to hate shimano 3 speeds.
help!? HELP!?!? anybody?? I can't figure this stuff out...
thanks!

Is this a 333 series or a newer one? The 333 series was not particularly good. Shimano quality did improve though in later hubs.

Run em till they bust! Parts are available at a few bike shops and from Ebay, or from some C&V'ers parts bin. I got the pushrod, axle nut and a shifter off of ebay a while back for a friend's bike. IIRC the whole lot was under $20. Somewhere I have seen a diagram of the 3SC but can't find it right now.
