Quick suntour question

I recently purchased an 80's SR maxima road bike with suntour superbe components and was wondering if these hoods would work with those levers.

Yes, those should fit. I have a pair in black, though I haven't used them. There are more esthetic ones available, only they aren't being currently produced: AMe, Modolo (919 or 920) for instance. Do an eBay search on "hoods" in the bicycle area. Use talcum powder to get them on (others say dish soap or Windex, but I like dry).

I was scoping that bike out...I have the exact same bike except I'm not full superbe gruppo. they are super light weight (21lbs) Best thing i did was to put bull horns w/ TT brakes on it, my back feels so much better since. If you swap out the rims let me know, I bent my front and can't go high pressue because the tube pops off.

I used the Dia Compe hoods on mine and they fitted fine.
