Need HELP identifying old Nishiki frame!

Hello,
I'm new to these boards, I joined after a long and futile quest to identify my bike on the internet. There seems to be a great deal of knowledge on these boards and I thought someone might be able to help me. The frame had been sanded and painted many times when I got it. After a thorough sanding and some paint stripper, I revealed a serial number which got me really interested in identifying it.

The Facts:

1: The serial number is KF 20914. The numbers "14" are not cut as deeply, and there is a wing tipped "W" right beneath it.

2: On the underside of the bottom tube (facing the road), there are two metal hearts with their point towards the rear, a little less than a centimeter accross and raised about a milimeter.

3: The frame is unusually large, with a top bar that is 2" longer than usual (whatever that may be).

4: The frame is steel with some kind of golden/bronze metal used to weld.

5: It has (had, i just removed it) a Nishiki emblem that looks like this one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...head_badge.JPG

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
-Daniel

this is what I can help with........sure others have more

2. The hearts are to acct as stops to prevent sliding for the downtube shifters on the top and the dohickey that directs the shifter cables to the shifter on the bottom

4. Lugged steel (lugs are the joint thing the tube fit into) the gold is brazing material

5. My 82 had one that looked just like that

have fun

pictures of the frame , fork fork crown and bottom bracket will be a great hekp as wel ,

Well, it's Kawamura frame that was manufactured in Japan during 1976 for the US market, but that's about all I can say for sure based on the limited description. Pics would be a huge help. Baring that, I may be able to determine the model and level based on the brand and model of the major components.

Edit: Oops, I just realized that you have only the frame. :o So yes, pictures will be required. The other pertinent piece of info would be the diameter of a correct fitting seat post.
