Univega Range Rover ES

I ran across a Univega Range Rover ES on CL today and wonder if anyone can tell me about this model. The ad doesn't state what year the bike was made or anything about the components or frame. I can find very little about it on-line.

Assuming it fits and the components are decent and in good shape, is it worth a look?

Typcially the Rover variants were Univega's low end ATB models, with the higher end being the Alpina variants. I'm seen late 1980's Range Rovers with various forms of Exage. I'd be contacting the seller and asking specifics about major components and tubing.

I saw one when I was in telluride this weekend. Didnt look overly impressive but it did look like a good winter or 'round town beater.

While looking for some other info, I stumbled across a road test for a 1989 Range Rover ES. Specs are a Tange, straight gauge CrMo tubeset with Exage Country deraiileurs, cranks and brakes. Wheels are Joytech hubs laced to Araya MP22 aluminum rims. 18 speed, non-HG. 30 lbs. $299 US. The tester considered it a good value.
