Centurion Decals?
 

Anyone know a source for Centurion decals? I just picked up an Ironman Carbon frame/fork, and for the most part it was debadged. Couldn't find anything on eBay or through google.

The search for Ironman decals is an ongoing dilemma. The chances of ever finding a source that could recreate all of the intricate little graphics is almost hopeless.

The best bet will be that we can someday find someone just recreate a reasonable set of down tube Centurion stickers, a top tube decal that is close, and the seat tube and head badge stuff. I think I'm going to end up punting and just have a sign shop do something that is simple and almost the anti-thesis of the original decals.

Robbie Tunes has a carbon Ironman. I'm sure he will chime in soon.

Get BF member JRrestore good photos and he can do the rest. You need to find someone with a bike having the graphics you want to reproduce, who's willing to photograph them carefully. I've done this; if anyone needs instructions, just contact me. It takes maybe an hour and a digital camera -- isn't difficult at all.

i didn't really expect to find exact ironman decals, but more of a set of basic centurion decals, just to identify the company. since centurion seemed to only make one carbon bike, i'm not too worried about pasting model-specific decals, i'd rather just find centurion decals, whatever style, for the downtube.

Any sign shop can do lettering in outdoor quality vinyl, with many colors & effects available.

You can even create your own lettering using Adobe Illustrator, or any program that lets you tweek text and save/export as a vector file, such as .ai or .eps.
Burn that do a disc and have the sign shop do the cutting.

Some shops have a high minimum do reduce little jobs like this, so at shops that do that, expect to pay at least $20.

Wow, another one escaped my grasp. The decals on that bike are very "busy," and are set up in clear wraps around the bars. Once they wrinkle, they're hard to fix.

I can photo mine, and you can see if someone can repro them for you or give it a shot on your PC.

On a steel bike, you can do water-slide decals on media you can buy, but if you use an inkjet, the color will fade eventually. The print shop vinyl is pretty thick, but may be your best bet if they'll print it on clear stock.

I'd say clear coat over them, but not sure if that's a good idea on carbon, or at least that carbon.

don't feel too bad, i had to beat 25 others to the frame. luckily, i was the first to respond to the CL ad. yay!

it sounds like a sign shop is my best bet. at least that way i can maybe tweak the color scheme and get rid of the horrid late 80's colors. maybe update it a bit. not original, but the bike is pretty bad cosmetically, so i won't feel too bad about customizing...
