Current vs. Campagnolo 10 speed compatibility?

I'm shopping on Ebay for silver/non-carbon Record Campagnolo 10-speed components for a future build and saw a seller mention that there was difference between pre-2004 and the current 10-speed drive trains. Is this true and what should I look out for? I posted on C&V cuz of all the Campy experts. Many Thanks!

Branford Bike's website has some good info on the Campy drivetrain changes over generations.

Looking at my 2004+ Record and Centaur freehubs, the only difference I can remember was the spline pattern for the 10 spd freehub body was changed.

There was a slight cable pull change in 2001 so the derailleurs and shifters pre and post '01 won't mesh exactly. Then in '07 they went to QS which I believe affects mostly the front derailleur as far as compatibility. Not sure what the seller is referencing for '04. All the 10s hubs and cassettes are compatible. The spline change was for lightness, but all the 10s cassettes fit.
