Is this a Motobecane? If so, which one?
I picked this frame up the other day. Grimy as heck, but I noticed what I think is a Motobecane logo on the fork. From the components, it looks 1970's, but I'm not exactly sure what I have. Any Motobecane experts care to opine about this one?

I'm already stripping the paint off the frame, and the frame itself looks to be in really good condition, surprisingly little rust underneath the grime. It's definitely going to look great with a coat of paint and some TLC.
I'm also frustrated with the fixed cup on the BB. It's stuck but good, and I'm not sure which way it turns.

Can't be sure from the pics. but the fork looks like it may have taken a hit somewhere along the road. And yes - it does look like a Motobecane from the lugwork. Worth rescuing for certain.
Good luck!

looks to be an old Super Mirage or maybe a Grand Touring. No forged dropouts but has a 3 piece crank. Anything above would have forged drops and anything below would have had cottered cranks at that time.

I'm asking because I don't know. Would that have come with a Sakae Ringyo crankset as original equipment?

Both BB cups unscrew with the top going forward.
Both BB cups unscrew top going forward, if that helps -- I have a super mirage frame that was crashed -- badly bent fork and rear seatstay and chainwheels.
