I passed up on a Tommasini today
I got a line a late '80's Tommasini Prestige with Campys for $500. I went to look at it today and it looked great. I took it for a short spin of a couple miles. All I can say is .....Butter!!! What a great riding bike. Now for the bad part. The wife hit the roof when I mentioned I was looking at another bike, while I have another one on its way to me, Strike One. It was a size or two too small, Strike Two. As I was looking the bike over and on the bottom of the top tube about one inch behind the head lug was some crease lines in the paint, Strike Three!!! Oh well. I had raised the seat a bit and the stem I could raise but that crease had me worried. There was no dent, the tube was smooth except for the creases in the paint. Oh well such is my luck.

it's sad to let a good bike go, but sometimes you just have to. I can't really relate on the wife thing- but if it didnt fit you, then you wouldnt ride it so much. and if you wouldnt ride it so much then whats the point? Leave it for someone who has a better fit on it, someone who will cherish it :-)
