Aztec formula shoes?

The Grand Record disassembly has begun, and off came the 80's 105 Shimano brakes. The puzzling thing is the brake shoes. They have adjustable toe in/out, and are a dark grey. The brand is Madison and have USA molded into the rubber? That's wierd enough since I have never heard of the brand. That's not the odd part though. They also say "Aztec Formula"? Was this a pad formulation designed by someone of American Indian descent, or a project name within the company? Either way they're still pliable, so I will probably put them on the UO-10 Mafac Racers that I'm putting back on the bike. They take a shoe like a standard caliper rather than the cantilever post type. It should be interesting to see how they do. The consistency is very much like a Kool Stop Continental, and they have plenty of surface left.,,,,BD

Answered my own question, lol. They should be great then, being made by Kool Stop. Sweet!,,,,BD

Yeah I am currently running the Aztec pads and I like them a lot. Work great. No complaints at all.
