Raleigh Wisp/RSW variant.
Raleigh RSW fans check this.
The motorised version. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...g/DSCF0131.jpg 1967 and ready to go. Belongs to a friend who bought it as a wreck a few months ago. He is now hooked on Wisps!!!! More to come later. |

WOW! What is the speed and what type and size of motor?
Aaron:) |
Thought you might like it Aaron!
Since it's mostly an RSW I thought it would be OK on here:thumb: Engine is 50cc Mobylette I believe. Speed I wouldn't know exactly, but I would reckon 35 or so. The rear carrier came off of one of my RSWs and the saddle is another period Raleigh and much more comfortable than the original. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...g/DSCF0142.jpg It has been thoroughly rebuilt. Wheels/engine/brakes and a pretty good repaint. Amazing what you can do with RSWs? I think it's great. |
I want one

Just to show you the before pic:)

the earlier moby motors were av7s i think and the later av 10s..50v mobys were variated, and the others had just regular clutches

I have enough problems trying to understand bicycles, but had an interest in this one 'cos I donated one of my rough RSWs for parts for it!! I can't be dealing with all the Road Tax, MOT, insurance, number plates, petrol, crash hats, etc. etc. My bikes are probably faster too.... They're certainly cheaper to run, and healthier:) |

Aaron:) One is white and in excellent order. I'm trying to get him to join the forum, but a lot of mopeds might not be PC methinks:p |
I was just talking to the owner on the phone and he started it up while I was talking to him.
Sounded a bit like a lawnmower, but it started OK and he was about to go out on a run. Not heard back from him yet though, and I'm getting worried. Rural Worcestershire (UK) is not a place to get lost in..... |
