Went for a walk today
And ended up, by coincidence, walking past a collection I've see before....this time, with a camera. It's a private collection, owned by Monte Shelton, a retired car dealer. You can see some of the cars in his collection in the background, too. But of course, it's the bikes I thought some of you would be interested in seeing....
Most of the collection:
A closer look-- an 1896 Columbia and an 1895 Sterling in the foreground:
An 1886 Ordinary:
A Schwinn Whizzer:

Good eye.
Good eye.
Very good eye.
I went by there again today. The ordinary is an 1886 Gormully and Jeffrey, with a 52 inch wheel.

That's right near where I live! Sort of between PGE and downtown, right? I forgot you were from Portland. Nice bikes for sure!

Not in that showroom you didn't.
There are several Porsches, an Alfa Spider, a Fiat Spider, a TR4, a Rabbit race car, a Leyland Mini, what may be a Cobra, what may be an F1, and something from the 30s.
