Hi Everyone, I'm trying to put a early 70's Raleigh Gran Prix back together for the spring and need the following: Rear Simplex Derailleur and Simplex Shifters. I thought I'd ask here before I take a chance on Ebay! Thanks for any help!

BG-
I haven't received them yet and the pics are terrible, but I believe they are DiaCompe levers without hoods. May come with oridinal NOS cables too. Are you looking for something like that?

Even better is a beach cruiser style rear wheel 26" with coaster brake and a narrow rim.

Have: various items, what are you looking for?
Are you trying to convert a 3-speed to single speed? Does a 1.75" rim work? JUST FYI, none to spare. And wouldn't 700c work better on a 27"?

I rebuilt a 3-speed internal hub late 60s-early 70s ladies Hawthorne as a 1.75" single speed/coaster brake but the frame was fairly universal and came in that form as both a Hawthorne AND Rollfast Aerolight. Always try a wheel as a test before you jump into a creek. If you find a hub with the same number of holes etc you can lace your own no matter the width.

Wanted for my 1949 Columbia Sports Tourist

-Sprung saddle in usable condition that attaches to the 5/8" post. Mesinger, Troxel, ect. It has a hairpin saddle on it now with a horribly shrunken leather cover, and I would like to find a similar replacement

-Columbia head badge in nice shape. Slightly weathered ok. Vertical holes, +/- 2 1/8" apart

-Schwinn 26" coaster brake wheelset in nice shape. If someone wanted the rough looking iso599 wheelset with tires (still hold air and no terminal cracks) we could work out a trade. Rear spacing on my frame is 115mm...haven't checked the front yet.

For trade - a couple of decent quality but cosmetically challenged big frames. The Belgian made Superia is a 58cm, and the Carlton made Raleigh SC is 62cm. Both have finish issues, but are structurally sound. Caveat - the Raleigh has an issue with the RD mounting hole on the RD hanger. A RD mounts and snugs up just fine, but the hole appears a bit munged up and out of round. Maybe crash damage? Dunno, but like I said, a RD mounts up ok.

Lots more pics available HERE.

Both have forged rear drop outs, and the Raleigh is straight gauge 531. Not sure about the Superia, but it is CroMoly.

Wanted - buildable small frame sets, 52cm or smaller. OR.... offer me something interesting!

I have a 180mm C-Record crankset in very good shape, and would like to trade it for a smaller set, ideally 172.5mm. Complete set or just arms. Also, I would like to trade English C-Record BB for an Italian one.

these are harder to find (and about the same price as: read: the equivelent of a full 531 frameset -in a rideable size) than a Campy SR seatpost

If one is patient, they can be had for reasonable prices and in very nice condition. I have two that I paid $30 and $55.

+1 on CV-6's comment above. I lurk for the ones in poor condition and take them to my friendly local polishing gnome who buffs them out to shining glory for $10. I can pick up shabby examples on eBay for $10-25.

Searching fruitlessly for:

8mm diameter axle rear hub. It can be a Sturmey, single speed, fixed, old, new, I don't care, just as long as it's 114mm compatable.

In a perfect world it would come complete with a 20" wheel off a Raleigh Twenty/Folder.

Uh, Raleigh Twenty came with 20" wheels (hence the name). To confuse the issue, they came with either 20 x 1 3/8" or 20 x 1.75" which are not the same size at all. I have a rather terrible 20 x 1 3/8" wheel off one of those, with a 28H AW hub; pm if interested.
