I use SPD pedals on all of my bikes. My road bikes have road specific pedals but my 1 pair of shoes are mtn.

This might be a bit of a long shot, but I'm looking to trade this track bike for a decently equipped road bike. I know I won't get much in a modern sense, I don't know if anyone would be interested in trading. Looking for something in the 58-60 range, in nice shape. I don't mind overhauling bearings/cables/etc...just no rust. something italian would be a plus to give my deBernardi some company 
I have this bike, components are as follows:
57cm bike island frame
new tange threaded headset
new sram chain
Sugino RD crankset/bb w. 48 tooth surly stainless steel chainring
red anodized 32h deep v's-miche track hubs
no name saddle/aluminum seatpost
bars and stem can be switched for a set of black risers i have if you'd like.
the frame is drilled for front and rear brakes, and also has water bottle cage and fender mounts.

i'm in boston. i have a local shop that will ship bikes for under $50 via ups. in that respect, on my side at least, shipping isn't that big of an issue. however i can understand how it might be for someone not as lucky.
i might also mention that i'd very much entertain offers on a nice groupo as well, it might be easier to ship-and i could probably save up for a frame.

I'm looking for the first gen SPD road pedals....the ones they had before the switch to SPD SL's. The ones I want take the same cleat as the current mountain pedals.

Have:
Shimano SPD-R Pedals. A bit worn and dirty, but they spin nicely. I'll never use them.
Shimano SLR aero brake levers with white hoods. Excellent condition and the hoods cleaned up to just a couple shades short of their original white.
144 BCD chainrings of assorted sizes. Some Campagnolo, some Sugino. All used, but all still usable.
Campagnolo 980 front derailleur - very nice condition.
Some 6 speed freewheels - mostly SunTour and Shimano.
A few other odds & ends.
Want:
To tell the world how great C&V Forum members are.
Decent quality black or dark grey brake calipers with minimal scratches - recessed bolt, medium reach.
SunTour V, Compe V, or other lightweight early 70's SunTour FD with non-rusting/oxidizing cage.
SunTour V, or VX, or other lightweight early 70's medium cage RD that's mechanically sound without oxidation on the cage.

I'm looking for a 1" quill stem that is hinged at the clamp so that I can change bars by removing one bolt. The reach should be 70-80mm. I know that 3TTT made some in the '90s called Evol. There must be others.

I priced a new Bob Jackson frame at about $650 shipped to the USA. I would build it with Deore LX components and budget around $400 for wheels (give or take).
Surprise surprise, it's a touch more than a new LHT when all is said and done, and about the same as a new Trek 520.
