Weinmann 605 side pulls or Mafac Racers center pulls (polished) interesting to you?

Both used in near mint condition.

I'd be interested if JYB isn't, or take whatever he doesn't want. I've got another mint 79 Gitane with Mafac levers and Spidel sidepulls but the cable-fixing nut and bolt are missing on the front caliper. Do the 605s come with levers and hoods by any chance? Are the Mafacs complete with straddle cables and connectors?

Yes to most of your questions, with some qualifications, but I'm still working this out with JYB. It should clear up in a few days and I'll let you know what's available.

Best,

Julian

I've got a Suntour six speed freewheel 13-30. Two notch. Nice shape, cleaned up and spins beautifully as Suntour freewheels tend to do.

PM me.

Looking for:

- Drive side "RUDGE" rubber block pedal from the early 50's or just the pedal spindle. I will take both sides if you have them. Not looking for mint condition or high pricing...it's going on a rider.

- Rear fender reflector with black rubber housing.

Looking for pair of White Look Pedals for Delta cleats. Would prefer something that still has all the paint intact. I have a couple of things I could trade for it like:

Suntour GPS Aero Lever set with hoods
Brooks 40 oz. container of proofhide w/wrench
French Simplex DT shifters (different types)
Umbrella clips for frame pumps
other assorted odds and ends

Hello everyone. Please remember that cash offers to sell things are not allowed in this 'In search of' and 'for trade' thread.

I think everyone here is pretty much aware of that, and posting things such as 'prefer little green pieces of paper', 'paper with Presidents on them' , etc is a blatant attempt on avoiding mentioning CASH.

In the past we have deleted the request for cash and have sent reminders via PM.

Due to the complaints regarding those that are continue to do this, and from this post on, I will have to ask that the moderation team be stricter on this. We really don't want to have to read every post on here to enforce the rules, we'd really rather enjoy the forums ourselves instead of making sure nobody is skirting through. But posting a for sale offer outside of the specific sub forum is against forum guidelines and will now be subject to reinforcement accordingly.

Or I can simply lock this thread down.

But I don't really want to do that. It's unfair to those who really want to participate on here and find what they are searching here to make their bike complete.

Please please please.

Please do not try to avoid the sales tactic by having a play with words, and just don't put up things for sale here.

Please.

Thank you

Siu Blue Wind

Kurt, 4/1/09 was pretty bad. I didn't even know that you (or your alter ego) had the capacity for such tomfoolery!

Anyway, I am posting:

Earlier I asked for some help with an eBay item, and recieved several enthusiastic and spirited requests from people willing to help! I didn't even know where to start on the matter!

So I started at eBay, and the item I'd been looking at had already risen to a cost beyond my "willing to spend" limit, and the other, cheaper ones with the B.I.N. option had already disappeared...

I guess I walked into a room of lucky deals and was unaware, and now my options are closed accordingly...

So thank you to everyone who replied, but I suppose I'll have to wait for now!
