Trek 500 series or up, or maybe an older Trek aluminum if priced right..

There are lots, and there and plenty of helpful BF members in your area...
Thanks for the list! Budget is pretty sad - prefer $100 or less. I can do some wrenching and not looking for anything spectacular - would even appreciate a tip for anything that pops up on craigslist, auctions, thrft stores, etc.
There is a Raleigh Grand Prix listed for $55, but I haven't seen it yet - assume minimum is tubes and tires that would run another $50, likely is cables/housings, and possibly fresh seat.

I did pick up an aluminum 1989 Trek 1200 last weekend for $100 but its too big for him, and now I want to ride it myself (it's what got me interested in C&V... One owner, just need tubes/tires and a longer reach stem. I posted pics of it in Vintage rides BTW)

I've done the same thing... here's a thread with a comparative pic.

I like that idea. What's the threading needed?

Nervar crank extracting tool....23mm I think?

I'm not looking in purchasing one, just want to borrow it. I will provide $$ via paypal as collateral.

Edit:
It's not a Nervar Crank set; it's a Specialites TA. Had a brain fart.

ISO: Cinelli 1a stem in 80-90mm or a sakae superlight in same length.

For Trade: Cinelli 1a in 110mm, also a early 80s 3t record in 110mm, a 70s 3t record in 105 (seems to be for french diameter steer tube), I have some other stems as well.

measure twice, cause if it's a later 3-pin model it may be Stronglight 23.15mm. I could loan you that tool with the usual first-born-son and bag-of-money stipulation...an earlier "Star" model may well be 23mm, I'm not positive about that one.

I'm looking for a Dave Scott Ironman Centurion funny bike frame with an effective top tube of 48 cm and a seat tube of around the same length. I've got a 51 cm Centurion Le Mans RS with fork and bottom bracket, tange 2 double butted.

PM sent. I only know of one out there that may be for sale. I doubt you'll be able to trade it for the Lemans RS, but you never know. Pics of the RS would be helpful.

It's not a funny bike, it's a women-specific model aided in design by Terry. 24" front wheel.

Well, a wee bit is better than a lot, but none would be best.

Also,

Have: Weinmann 610 caliper in great condition,
Need: Weinmann 750 for the reach.
NEVER MIND! Problem solved.

If you have one, trade it to J.Hughes first and put me down for second dibs....he asked a few days ago...
