No pictures. Just a group of 6 who stayed together and did a century in St. Louis on March 1st.
We did a metric last Saturday. Trying to get ready for the season. Times could have been faster, I suppose.
We took our sweet time, and a lot was on paths that were busy with the nice weather.

My morning commute held a few surprises. The first was the "Bikeway Closed" sign. So, like, how am I supposed to get to work this morning? I rode the MM anyway. Didn't see anything until I reached Bow St were I get off anyway, a bunch of tree workers and trucks, not quite ready to start their day.

The second surprise was the dusting of snow that fell on Lexington last night. Just enough to make me skittish about being skiddish, so I rode out in the traffic lane for much of it.

Oh, and the wind. Did I mention wind? And new potholes. And all the construction going on at Woburn Mall. It ain't easy these days.

Well, I made it to work and back home safely with another story to tell.

Did 40 miles yesterday on the Lotus Odyssey from South Philly to the 'burbs and back. Finally have this bike dialed in perfect. Excellent weather, excellent ride.

Three months ago today I was on the table getting my bad toe operated on.

Today I went rock climbing with my wife and rode home (just under 55 miles) and finished before dark. I'm in worse shape than this time last year but it's coming back.

Finished a test build of the Nöll today, just in time to catch the last hour of daylight for a quick shakedown. 17th century skies:

Out for a wee ride 'round Visalia via the St. John's River trail. Great early spring morning feel here in central California! On the 1970 Raleigh Super Course. Cheers!

Very spring like day today, including a stiff breeze. Got a quick 20 miler in, then went on a ride with the kiddo. He wanted to see cows, but we saw more horses. We did ogle a bull and a donkey. This old fella ambled over for a head scratch.

Thanks! I'm quite partial to it myself

Just got back from a really nice 35 mile ride. First ride of the year that I got to wear short sleeves

But man, it was windy. 20mph straight from the South. Given that out here in the country every road is either North/South or East/West, 3/4 times you've either got a nasty headwind or crosswind. That other 1/4 of the time though...pretty fun to hit almost 40 on a more or less flat road

Third nice Sunday in a row. Temp around 65!!! Rode 46 miles up to Lake Forest (again) and there was a strong headwind coming home (again).

No leaves yet, but some of the trees are starting to set buds.

Bluff overlooking the lake. Nice shade of blue and a little churned up.

Saw quite a few of these yellow flowers. Lots of snowdrops too.

The North Shore Channel was iced over when I headed out - most of it was gone by mid-afternoon.

Really enjoying some of the nice weather we're having. So nice to see a little bit of green. Think spring!

25-mile shakedown cruise today on a new to me project. Wanted to dial things in before I make a decision about refinishing. Low 50s in the Boston area today though a bit of a stiff wind out of the west.

We still don't have anything budding or flowering out here.

I am pretty excited about this rain today hopefully washing all the salt of the roads though

Yeah, I grew up in Mchenry Co.

Winter always seemed colder and longer even though it's only 50 miles from Chicago. My mom always referred to it as a "frost pocket".

My buddy was obsessed with watching the cruise ship make it's way to Oakland. Talked him into a shoreline ride out to Pt Molate. No ship, but we did see a trio of coast guard pontoons circling after the escort.

Look back to SF in the distance.

Love me some SF Bay pics.

This is a couple of days ago. Eastern Albemarle County. This wall is about a mile long, completely mortarless. Pretty impressive sight. It fronts an estate called Morven, which belongs to University of Virginia and used for conferences and such.

15 miles this morning on the '78 Super Course. After 2 days of pretty much rain, I tried to sneak a ride in up thru the hills of Porter Ranch and Chatsworth, CA. I almost made it before the rain drops, but it was still a great ride.

It wasn't like this when I left the house, just blue sky and big puffy white clouds. This is one hour later.

Great day for a ride directly after work in the wonderful Palouse Country. First daylight saving day! Still fine tuning the new-to-me '74 International. Got some Newbaums dark brown coming soon.

Getting out my Colnago Technos

My rides have been limited to 10-20 miles for the past 3 months. Had 5 stents put in at the beginning of December.

I dug out my early 90's Colnago Technos Frankenbike yesterday for a 10 mile late afternoon-early evening ride around the Alameda South Shore (SF Bay). I hadn't ridden that bike in over a year. Felt great!

Today was a perfect 67° cloudless day in the Bay Area... We need rain bad! Expected this weekend.

I did a 12 mile round trip trail ride from Lafayette, CA to Moraga, CA located about 25 miles east of downtown SF.

The trail climbs up 400' over 5 miles on the outbound leg. It winds it way through pleasant neighborhoods and wooded areas. It's easy to hit 25 mph in the curves and dips coming back down.

Shimano Deore XT MTB running gear!
