nb, those ride shots look awesome. I can understand the Tarzan bit.
I'm still working but at least I get to ride spiffy bikes to work sometimes. Today was the Masi. Here's an intersection I go through twice a day. Always wanted a pic of this sign:

We rode the tandem for 70.4 miles today, Bedford to Pepperell and back, our longest ride this year. Saw four other tandems today, had some nice conversations with various folks including two kids on bikes enjoying the day.
Some of the great things you see on a bike ride through old towns:
Wildlife is waking up now that spring is finally here (finally!!!):
Addendum, one more pic. The owner of the mailbox is the guy who helped me out a few years ago when the Masi's quick-link broke 30 miles from home:

Today was a gravel hill combo ride in advance of the Almonzo in a few weeks. 53 miles and 4400 ft of climb, getting there... The scenery on the abbreviated Ragnarok 105 course (that I cut in half due to available time and energy), was excellent as always. Things are starting to green up. Those that do the full Ragnar 105 in early April are much harder riders than I am.
Some photos of the ride.
The speck in the sky is a vulture that later buzzed me going up the pictured hill: Motivation to get to the top!
Looking down into the Mississippi valley, and a view of Lake Pepin far off in the distance
And finally, not my photo. But, it puts the last climb into perspective. Though, it misses about a half mile of the climb (which gets continually steeper)

Great to see everyone out this weekend, real nice weather is finally here. I took the Holdsworth out for the first time this year, I got in a little over 37 miles. Looks like I need to pick up the pace, what with Jim and Sharon putting on 70 plus! Down to two bikes left that haven't been out yet this spring. Too many? Nah. Might have another one soon, I've got something in the works. I stopped by a local lake for some lunch.
While I was uploading that picture, I put the dog out and noticed a nice full moon rising. Since the camera was there, I took a picture.

@Chrome Molly , those roads look pretty tasty.
I went out by myself and did some riding at Mt Rainier under perfect conditions today
Sunrise Road was clear of snow all the way to the top and closed to cars.
I rode the Merckx
After descending from Sunrise, I rode up Cayuse and Chinook passes
I got a late start and wasn’t able to check out Stevens Canyon (another road closed to cars right now). Guess I’ll have to come back..

Just my 'usual' loop - BUT, today I whacked off some time, and in one segment, cutting another 2 seconds will put Geraldine and me in undisputed possession of 4th fastest, PERIOD. We're already fastest in the 'old fart' age group (combined age ~ 100 years) everywhere around here, pretty much.
Passed a number of carbon bombers today (going in the opposite direction) - most didn't even respond to my "Hi!". No damn respect for their elders.

Forgot to post this a couple weekends ago: 16 mile ride out to one of the finest eateries and breweries around. I snagged "employee of the month" with my '88 Specialized Sirrus
Today we got in a 40-miler in preparation for next weekend's STOKR, a fundraiser for Libby's Habitat for Humanity.
My parents' farm where we started:
We saw many birds today: Cinnamon Teal, Sandhill Cranes, Blue Herons, mating/fighting eagles locking claws and tumbling from the sky, and these guys:
Ruddy duck (he's in the middle of the three birds to the right
A pair of Northern Shovelers we spooked before I could get a decent shot:
I rode the '91 RB1

When it rains it pours. Have to luv this old schtuff
1: Got wet
2: After a complete redo of my faux BiC, I knew the brinelling of the bb was the weak link. Its now positively shot
3: Left foot started to float in the clips. Lost a cleat screw and the other started to work loose. Removed it and made my ride short.

After yesterday's tandem ride I did a recovery ride on the Gazelle, 45.3 miles ridden harder than I expected.
Saw a mink scrambling into the woods near the Sudbury River. Didn't get any pics because both it and I were moving at the time.

41 miles on a beautiful day in west central RI
rode some dirt; Challenge Paris-Roubaix tires are very nice indeed
race course at the Joseph Card gristmill in Foster (1867)
I swapped out the rat traps for my old stand by, egg beaters. Much better, those Atom 700 pedals were piercing through my sole. I was pricing out dromarti shoes, which are beautiful, to have a more toe clip specific shoe. But then I thought, why bother? I have a comfortable pair of Sidis already.

Warmest day since last September. Excellent weather. Rode my usual track on the SRT from Oaks to Shawmont RT. HOTH day (headwind out, tailwind home). I observed that an 85 deg F headwind is much easier on yer attitude than a 40 deg F headwind.
I also noticed that we're in the time of year than the contact strip on the tires turns green from all the tree pollen on the trail. Odd to see it again.
I also overtook a nice old Raleigh 3 speed. I guessed 50s to early 60s because of the rod brakes up front but she said it was a '69. "And I have 7 more of these at home". Neat gal, eh?

I got out for a couple of rides this last weekend. A passed by a group of Porsche enthusiast on Saturday, probably going for a group drive somewhere. Some really nice cars, but the two in front here(turbo & targa) appealed to me most.

Did my commute again. Had to drop a car off for service this morning so I put the bike in the car, then rode to work after leaving the car. Picked the car up again this evening. Had to get there before they closed so I did my Lance imitation but without the performance enhancing drugs and without the enhanced performance. I made it with 10 minutes to spare.

Decided today to try to string together some of the local short trails, and to not avoid the hills. My legs regret that last decision. 50% chance of rain, so I rode fendered. That was sufficient to keep the rain away. Mid-week ride with rain threatening meant I saw very few other cyclists. It was a very green and contemplative ride...

But of course if you hadn't ridden fendered... Murphy would have stepped in. Nice photos - nice bike!

Wow, some nice photos here, from opposite coasts even! Love the fog pics. Nice pic of the bike against the blue fence too.
My sweetie and I rode ye old vintage tandem today, same tandem we always ride. We were joined by BF member otg, who goes by Dave in real life, on his lovely Trek (don't ask me what model, I have no idea). We did one of our favorite "long" rides, Bedford to Pepperell and back by a few different roads, 67.1 miles. The day started cloudy and cool but warmed quickly when the sun came out.
First stop, the North Bridge in Concord where a little skirmish took place on April 19, 1775.
Then the serious mileage started. A pause at the top of the hill on Cross Street, Carlisle.
A break for lunch by a mill pond.
After 35 miles, a food break in Pepperell, our target destination. Yes, we carry frozen fruit smoothies in the panniers.
Another food stop on the return, same mill pond, same turtles.
On the return we found a driver's license that someone had dropped in Concord Center. 411 said they had no number for that name and address, so I called the Concord police. At their request we took a little detour to police HQ to drop it off. They should be able to get it back to the owner.
Finally, back at the start, 67.1 miles later, up and down a few significant hills. Today will be calorie-negative!
