Lost my camera shortly after taking this shot. Realized that I had lost it once I was back home, but it was late, getting dark, and I had to get changed and go open up a jam session. During the jam, one of the gals was showing off her smartwatch and asked, "Did anyone lose a camera on the towpath today?" Somebody had found it and put it on her local community facebook page, and it went to her watch. Camera was dropped off to me this morning. What are the odds??

I have had pretty good luck with 32's on the Perkiomen trail, but will be trying 35's on another bike this spring.

The Vittorio 700x35 had no trouble going over the muddy patches, felt great on the gravel, and rolled over small branches, ruts, etc. with ease. I'm very pleased with them, so far.

@HamboneSlim - That may be the nicest Gitane I have seen. Looks like a very fun bike to ride.
@djkashuba - another great pic, keep em coming.

@djkashuba, another great photo. Such great colors and richness.
Got out for a frosty 40 miles this morning in the east bay hills--up Tunnel Rd., down Pinecrest, out around Moraga and Orinda, back to Berkeley via Wildcat. Didn't stop for many photos.

Ten inches of rain in the last two days, but the rain held out long enough today for me to sneak in a ride. With blustery winds and rain threatening the roads were pretty empty, only the cows to keep me company.

All this rain is bringing up a lot of new vegetation among the dead stalks from last year.

Tried to ride to work this morning, every time I got on the saddle and pushed off the rear wheel just spun, couldn't get enough weight on it to get started. I pushed until I got to a small downhill, which allowed me to get going, but the snow was deep enough that turning was a chore.
Turned around and pushed the bike home.

We had about 7 inches of snow on Saturday, so I fitted the RB-T with Schwalbe Winter Marathon 700c studded tires and commuted on it Mon and Tue. By last night, it was in the 40s and raining and was in the mid 50s and sunny today, so most of the snow is gone, and the RB-T is going back in the basement until the next storm.

We got 5" - 6" of very cold (= light, fluffy, uncooperative) snow on Saturday, which they plowed off the streets pretty well... But once it was crushed into the road it was impervious to the plow. Monday was interesting. Tuesday was another story. But then we got warm rain overnight, and by this morning the snow was turned to wet nasty slush over pavement, mostly, or mud. Oy. I didn't miss my train, but my feet were encrusted with mud splatter, the water absorbed into my socks. Good times.

After today's warmup all the snow nlerner described is pretty much gone from the roads. Only the banks pushed up by the plows remain. So I'm riding to work tomorrow.

Well, I'm sure that's very excellent and all, but shouldn't you be posting this in the "where you gonna ride tomorrow?" thread?

Okay, I did shall have ridden today yesterday. Which is to say today, which was tomorrow yesterday.
Rode the Bianchi to work today. Didn't expect to get much riding in after the snow but it's about all gone now, leaving behind a fair amount of debris.
I will probably ride to work again tomorrow, but I won't mention it just yet.

AF, that looks like a nice ride, bike and road!
As I said yesterday that I would today, I did ride to work today and even back home! Nothing broke. The bike behaved. No tires were harmed in the making of this commute report.

Temps in the upper teens, low wind, and bright sun. Had a midway stop with Chuck B and Snoop. Typical winter drivetrain abuse in Minnesota.
